We’re talking about a nice mix between Nancy Meyer’s movies and Martha Stewart’s home. You may be thinking, what does this actually entail, well, I’m here to break it down for you.
When I think of either of my grandmother’s houses, I run right to vintage pieces. A nice hutch with china elegantly displayed, a fresh vase of flowers on the dining table and cozy blankets for days. I also think about cookies and desserts, but we’ll revisit that later.
What makes the coastal grandmother designs, well… coastal, is the use of soft whites and blues in your color palette. Once that’s paired with plenty of natural sunlight in the home and some light, breezy curtains you have the perfect foundation.
